here's an old message that i saved to blog

Well hello there everyone. Christie here just letting you know what’s going on here in Edinburgh. Well since my last blog totally didn’t work except the title. I don’t know. I think maybe my blog is too big. So perhaps I will need to create another one or delete a bunch of stuff of this one who knows. Well anyway just wanted to let you all know what has gone on the last little while.

I joked to Rachelle 2 weeks ago, oh I’m going to win us tickets to this music show, called Soul Britannia All Stars. The first half of the show was Northern Soul and the second half was Funk. So it was basically all these people who were popular in Britain during the late 50s through to the 70s. The groups who played were all great. It was a smaller audience, like 100 people so it was a nice concert. The following week I went to Glasgow for a Graystone Gig, you can check them out on Myspace. They are my co-worker Katy’s husband’s band. The same week on the Friday, I went to the play Monks, about 3 Glaswegians going to the top of this mountain to a monk who performs miracles. They went because the son or brother or whoever has schizophrenia so they were hoping the monk could cure him. It was a strange play of Glaswegian accents that in the end wasn’t great, but hey I stood in line for an hour to get a free ticket, so that was cool.

As far as this week goes, well my friend Bethany had her going away party on Tuesday, and then she flew away on her 4-week holiday around Europe, and then back to Minnesota. So I was sad to see her go but happy she was doing some travelling before she went back. Which brings me to my next point, if you have any suggestions on where I should go in Europe, speak know or forever hold your peace. I will probably be back in Europe if I can help it once again in the future but who knows when that will be.

Well I am going to the Miso Funky Market and then over to the Filmhouse for We are All Christs. A polish film about a now sober father and the son that had to take care of him. So that’s the scoop here in Scotland. Hope all are well

xoxo,

christie
